Palo Duro State Park



This is our second time being at Palo Duro and we walked the 5.6 mi round trip to the lighthouse. You actually drive and camp down into the canyon which is 800 ft deep a 10% grade on the road. It floods often, the 25th they had flash flood.


The trails were closed because of flooding for two of our 3 days and we traveled to Canyon, Texas.
There we met Tex


This little train used to take people around the bottom of the Palo Duro Canyon.

You can see the lighthouse behind us but as we get closer we were right below it.

Glacier National Park with friends

As we approached Glacier National Park we couldn't resist a selfie with Cut Bank Penguin. He is a 27 foot tall tourist attraction. We purchased and was trained to use bear spray Snow on dist ant mountains Games after dinner Me and my hiking buddies. When with Diane you get in the water. Jim and Cathy on a swinging bridge. Vacation with the Smith Grandchildren

Tyler, Maevis and Olivia playing in the surf. Shrimp boat at dock.  You could buy directly from the shrimper. Amy and Tony hosted the whole gang for dinner at their home in Baton Rouge, LA. Tony smoked a delicious brisket. Eleven of us all together, including Tyler's Parents, Brian and Deb.
